This doesn't look nearly as good as the original, but I tried my best to fix it up as much as I could. ^^ I spent so much time on this, and tried to pay attention to details and lighting. The water isn't so great, though, but it's hard to do with Prismacolors. D:
And anyways, I thought I was going to fail this picture horribly when I started. Never did a bg with pencils before, and didn't know how it would turn out. XD But I love to do cool color schemes, though! They create the best moods. ^^ ...It's some sort of spirit shrine. I'm not superstitious, but I think the concept of spirits is very interesting. ^^ Commentsi love the colors

and the flow of all the lines is very good it looks so graceful :3 also the water is very good -- "I am Dr. Hanatewakusoshiseotadashiteter iyakisuzukihondacivic Here making the world a little less dumb with every video" "Dude, freakin wow! I will kill you and eat your first born child!" Absolutely beautiful... excellent job. I love the way the colors blend, and the glow radiating from the water has an oddly heartwarming feel to it that leaves you feeling at peace. And you really went all-out with the smaller details, like the fish swimming in the water and the lantern that the dragon is holding...

Overall I think the the basic design, concept and execution of the drawing of this dragon is both interesting and well done. Compositionally I think that the far back pillar is creating a conflicting tangent with the dragon's head and interrupts the neat idea of his/her transparent horns. Color wise you have some nice choices but I think that it could used some nice variation with compliments. Lastly I see a big problem with the fact that you don't seem to have a good sense of light yet and this can often make or break an illustration. You have at least two light sources (the moon and the large candle) plus maybe one that is coming from the viewer's point of view. There is also the color of the light being used, Moon light is often a blueish white cast and a candle is more often a warm color which I think would have worked better here because warm colors come forward and cool colors recede depending on the saturation level. Don't get discouraged you got some talent it just needs more development.
I hope that helps.
I love how she's peacefully resting on a rock on the shrine, and seems to be going into the water. The water lillies and glowing insects and fish are a nice touch.
The background is also pretty. The glow from the water shows on the grass and the glow from the moon shows on distant trees.
The only mistake i can see (and it took a while for me to find it) is at the far right and looks like a crease or maybe you colored over a surface.
The picture pleases my eyes and makes me feel relaxed, but still fueled by some kind of spiritual energy that comes from this picture. Spectacular!
